About Us
HISTORY
Based in Baston Fen, Lincolnshire on their 500-acre family farm the Freemans are a fifth-generation family business with a diverse portfolio of interests and a history of entrepreneurial innovation.
As far back as the 1840’s the very first George Freeman opened a chain of blacksmiths shops in the area providing amongst other things farrier services for the local horses in the area. Later in 1934 the family farm was established with the purchase of the first tractor being funded with the family “living off nettle soup”.
The family later moved to the current location at Baston Fen in 1947.
Since the 1930’s sand & gravel extraction has featured extensively in the family history with the very first mechanical vacuum ‘Venturi system’ for sand & stone extraction being invented by George Freeman (III) in the 1930’s..
ESTABLISHED 2014
Today, with transport operating centres in Lincolnshire & Cambridgeshire we deliver bulk tipper, container & low loader transport solutions across the UK.
With a ‘can do’ approach we pride ourselves on providing innovative solutions to ever changing industry challenges.
Managing a total fleet of 55 units and 75 trailers, all maintained in-house in our dedicated workshops for flexibility and reduced down time, we are committed to delivering exceptional service, reliability, and professionalism coupled with old fashioned family values and a commitment to environmental sustainability.
During 2023 our vehicles saved 5 million kgCO2e using bio-diesel manufactured in our own production facility.
BULK TRANSPORT
Highly experienced in the agricultural sector we offer innovative solutions moving thousands of tonnes of grain, sugar beet & aggregates with our 20 strong bulker fleet as well as offering bulk storage facilities/solutions. Working with preferred haulier status for a number of our partners we are accredited to Red Tractor and TASCC.

On Board Weighers & Auto Sheets
All of our vehicles are fitted with on board weighers and automatic sheets to ensuring compliance.
In-House Maintenance
Ensuring we have maximum flexibility and ensuring downtime is kept to a minimum.
SUGAR BEET LOADING & HAULAGE
During the annual sugar beet campaign we offer a range of safe and efficient loading and haulage solutions for growers supplying all 4 UK factories.
Working in collaboration with British Sugar as a preferred BDS haulier as well as independently with a number of private growers across the Midlands & East Anglia.
Operating CTM9003XL and CTM504 sugar beet cleaners and a fleet of bulk tipping trailers providing loading & haulage solutions throughout the campaign.
Also accommodating LimeX & Topsoil deliveries in and out of season.

SUSTAINABILITY
Ahead of the Governments 2030 & 2050 climate change targets we have been a driving force in taking positive actions to reduce environmental impact and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions accelerating our own path to net zero by producing waste-based bio fuels for over two decades in our own facility in Lincolnshire.
We have successfully patented a process that enables us to produce two separate fuels from the waste by products of biofuel production from used cooking oil and are currently licensed to produce 2 million litres annually.
With an ongoing commitment to research & development we are
uniquely placed in the industry continually identifying opportunities to help our industry partners meet their sustainability aspirations in line with net zero targets by reducing carbon footprints within the supply chain.

An exclusive development of just 37 bespoke luxury lodges nestled on a 57-acre site with a further 400 acres on the doorstep.
Every lodge is situated on the lake’s edge, guaranteeing breath taking views over Langtoft Lakes and the surrounding countryside.
